Method dressing is one of Hollywood’s most brilliant fashion trends, and many stars have used it to put their new films on the map this spring. From Zendaya in Challengers to Sydney Sweeney in Immaculate, we’re bringing you the three best examples of method dressing in recent months.
Challengers
Zendaya has been the queen of method dressing long before this term was coined, and she lived up to her reputation while promoting Challengers. She wore countless tennis-inspired looks while doing promo for this movie, and mostly stuck to dressing in green and white to pay homage to the sport that’s at the very heart of Challengers.
Dune: Part Two
Zendaya also gave us countless amazing red carpet looks while doing promo for Dune: Part Two, and she didn’t have to do it all alone. The whole cast of this film was on top of their fashion game, giving us several statement looks inspired by Arrakis, including Florence Pugh and Anya Taylor-Joy.
Immaculate
Zendaya’s Euphoria co-star Sydney Sweeney took a page from her book and used method dressing to promote her horror film Immaculate. Her approach was more subtle, but the black-and-white looks she relied on during the press tour were a clear reference to her nun character in this film.
