Half Up Braided Crown
This half-up braided crown is one of our favorites! It is so simple to do and can be done with a casual outfit or it can be dressed up to match a more formal attire. To start, part your hair down the middle and grab a four to five inch section of hair one the top of one side of your head. Braid this section of hair, starting loosely at the top and braiding toward the back of your head, rather than straight down.

Once you’ve reached the end of that braid, secure it want a hair tie. Duplicate this braid on the other side of your head. Cross the first braid behind your head toward the back of your neck. Pin it to the back with bobby pins, making sure to tuck in the tail. Repeat this step with the other braid to create a flattering, effortless look that is a half up braided crown.

The Half Bun
One trend that has hit social media in the most recent years involves a half bun. It’s not quite the commitment of putting all of your hair up, but it doesn’t force you to leave it all down. This style is as simple as it can get. To achieve this look, first separate the top half of your hair from the bottom half, securing it with a hair tie, making sure the ponytail is tight. Then, tease the tail slightly near the base of the elastic to give your hair a fuller look. Twist the hair around the base where the hair tie lays and secure the bun with a few bobby pins. Finish this simple look by adjusting it to your preferred shape.

Fishtail
Learning how to master a fishtail braid can be very tricky, but with lots of practice and patience it for sure can be done. To begin, gather your hair into a low ponytail at the bottom of your neck and secure it with a disposable elastic that can be cut with scissors at the end. Next, split the ponytail evenly into two sections. Use your fingers to separate a small section of your hair from the outside of the left ponytail.

Pull this piece across the top of the left ponytail over to the right ponytail. Then, separate another small section of hair from the outside of the right ponytail. Pull this piece across the top of the right ponytail over to the left ponytail. Repeat these these actions until you have no hair left, and secure it with a hair tie. Now that it is tightly secured, cut the first elastic out with a scissor to prevent any creases.
