With the summer soon winding to a close, the time has come to declutter your home, especially as you prepare your home and closet for the cooler weather. Here are some quick ways to declutter your home and basically transform your abode.
Your Pantry
From unused herbs and spices to nonperishables that have been sitting in the back for months, consider doing a cleanout of your pantry. After all, some items may even be expired, meaning they’re taking up space for nothing.
Entrance Hall
From the coats hanging on the coat rack to school shoes, backpacks, and keys, your entrance hall can become cluttered very quickly, which is problematic given how it’s the first area that visitors and your family see as they enter the house. The moment you organize the items in your entrance hall and perhaps put some keys in the drawers, you’ll see a massive difference in the first impression your house leaves on guests.
Medication
Check out each bottle of medication to see whether it may be expired or perhaps nearly empty. If you have almost empty bottles, empty out the contents into a fuller bottle of the same product and dispose of the spare empty bottle. Also, expired medications are no longer effective, so toss them out without hesitation.
