Ikeas Frakta Bag is So Much Better Than the Designer Copy by Balenciaga

Since Balenciaga created a designer version of the famous IKEA canvas hold all, the fallout has refused to die down. After the luxury designer label introduced its $2,145 USD hold all IKEA has been lapping up the publicity.  In a recent advertising campaign IKEA published  copycat version of the Balenciaga image of a model wearing the bag with the tagline, ‘Get the original for just $0.99’ followed by instructions on  how to distinguish the IKEA original from the Balenciaga copy:

1) Shake it. If it rustles, it’s the real deal

2) Multifunctional. It can carry hockey gear, bricks and even water

3) Throw it in the dirt. A true FRAKTA is simply rinsed off with a garden hose when dirty

4) Price Tag. Only $0.99

And yes, we have tried all four examples and yes they are all true. The FRAKTA can indeed carry the heaviest of items and, however dirty; can be easily cleaned by spraying water and shaking off. Moreover, that rustling sound is actually one of the most charming of all the bag’s traits. In fact, it’s the rustling that makes this multi-functional bag so much fun to use.

And we know which bag we prefer!
