Skincare is universal. But, sadly, we can’t say the same for all products. Some brands cannot be found in the United States, but it has given beauty influencers a reason to go traveling.
Forget heading to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower — we’re all about heading to the pharmacy! Most French drugstores sell high-end skincare, and at much cheaper than in the US.
“I’m back in Paris, you guys know the drill. The first stop was the pharmacy,” @glowwithava told her 1.7 million TikTok followers.

Part of the her haul included Caudalie’s SPF 50+ sunscreen that is not available in the states. Other items included the Lait-Crème Concentré by Embroylisse (“every make-up artist’s favorite moisturizer before make-up”), another bottle of the pink Nuxe perfume, and two kinds of La Roche Posay sunscreen.
“I regret not getting the hyaluronic filler line from Eucerin last year,” Ava added, showing just how many products there are in the range.
She is not the only one who has cottoned on to the wonder of pharmacies in France. The hashtag #frenchpharmacy has more than 130 million views on TikTok!
@elizabethvictoriaclark come to the iconic french pharmacy CityPharma in Paris with me – aka heaven on earth. Will do a haul next. #frenchpharmacy #a313 #biafine #frenchbeauty ♬ Shooting Stars – Bag Raiders
Another user, @ElizabethVictoriaClark, made her own video inside CityPharma on Rue de Four in the 6tharrondissement, where Caudalie products are apparently $20-30 cheaper than in the US.
Run, don’t walk.
