- 2 teaspoons butter
- Kosher salt
- Maple syrup
- 1 apple
- Apple cider
- Caramel sauce
- Vanilla ice cream
- Chopped walnuts
- Ground cinnamon
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. While you wait, cut a hole into the center of the apple and remove the top. Discard the core.
- Place half of the butter inside the apple and add a pinch of cinnamon, salt, and maple syrup. Add the remaining butter and replace the top of the apple.
- Put the apple on a small baking dish and add apple cider until it fills about half an inch of the apple. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, until the apple is tender.
- Discard the apple top, drizzle more apple cider into the apple, and allow to cool for 15 minutes.
- Serve alongside ice cream, caramel sauce, and chopped walnuts.
