But this is the worst thing you can do, especially because you really have no business comparing yourself to an experienced musician.

10 Minutes a Day

You need to stop focusing on the end goal and start embracing the present. The way to do this properly is to simply focus on playing for 10 minutes each day. You’re more than welcome to play for longer, but 10 minutes is the requirement. If you do this for one whole year, you’ll be darn good by the end of it. It’s also a test to see how much you want it. If you really want to get better, you’ll continue to come back to it.
