Before testing Urban Decay’s new Lo-Fi Mousse, we’d never even heard of mousse lipstick, so we were psyched to put it to the test. It comes in eight red, rose, and berry shades.
We found that this lipstick lasts for several hours and through a full four-course meal without touch-ups! Amazing staying power indeed. It doesn’t smudge in the very least, regardless of what you eat – pizza with lots of olive oil, rich house sauces, chocolate fudge, etc.
Normally, one decides to do away with the lipstick halfway through dinner. A woman would rather enjoy her meal than sitting there looking pretty, or should…the point is, you don’t have to choose one over the other anymore. With Urban Decay’s new Lo-Fi lipstick, you can have the best of both worlds.
The Formula
When you touch it, the Lo-Fi Mousse feels almost like putty. It’s more powdery, like an eyeshadow than creamy. It feels like you have absolutely nothing on your lips when you apply it, which you can do with your fingers. It gives the perfect, sexy, just-kissed look with blurred edges. If your lips tend to get dry quickly, it may not be the best option because it’s not very moisturizing.
This doesn’t mean you can’t wear it though – just layer a lip balm underneath. The little container itself has three interesting features: a very functional clutch pocket, a mirror, and a concealed, built-in applicator wand.
