The Victoria’s Secret Annual Fashion Show has been a major point of entertainment in the fashion industry for years. It began in 1995 when the lingerie company hosted its first fashion show at the Plaza hotel in the fashion capitol of the United States, New York City. During this event, models wore slinky and silky slips down the runway. They also utilized a variety of accessories such as purses and cardigans. However, what was once considered just a fashion show has developed into one of the most anticipated events of the year for fashion inclined women and men around the world. Today, the Victoria Secret Fashion Show has continuously gained popularity as each year has passed.
Some of the world’s most stunning models and popular entertainers are just some of the celebrities who attend the event. This fashion show has become so well known that many other celebrities try to secure spots to attend as well. And while these celebrities who attend the events as guests are definitely highly revered, the true stars of the fashion show are all of the models, adorned in extravagant lingerie.
One of the most famous Victoria Secret models is Gigi Hadid. This beauty has scored many fans from her time as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. Unfortunately, she will not be attending this year’s event. She tweeted; “I’m so bummed I won’t be able to make it to China this year. Love my VS family, and will be with all my girls in spirit!! Can’t wait to tune in with everyone to see the beautiful show I know it will be, and already can’t wait for next year! 🙂 x” . And while many fans are definitely disappointed that they won’t be seeing Gigi on stage, other women who were supposed to model at the event are also unable to make an appearance. These models include Kate Grigorieva, Irina Sharipova, Dasha Khlystun, and Julia Belyakova, who were unable to secure Chinese Visas in time for the event.
